[1931 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of December 1931 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Gd Evans, Henry R Hooper, Stanley Marling, J R Morton Ball, R J C Little.
The Memorandum of the proceedings at the Meeting held on the 18^th day of November 1931 was confirmed.
Thames & Severn Canal
The Chairman stated that Counsels opinion had been taken and that a letter had been written to the Ministry of Transport withdrawing the objection of the Navigation to the closing of the Canal, but without prejudice to the right of the Navigation to object to the Canal passing passing water into the Navigation.
Cottage at Framilode
It was reported that P C Price had paid the Companys expenses of agreement.
Severn Fishery Board
It was reported that M^r Stallard, Clerk of the Fishery Board, had acknowledged the Companys letter.
Land Drainage Act 1930
A letter was read from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries re Catchment Board for the River Avon: it was decided that it did not call for any action.
Canal Association
The Association had written stating that the Expiring Laws Continuance Act 1931 had received the Royal Assent extending the Canals (continuance of chargeing powers) Act 1922 until the 31^st of December 1934.
A bridge notice was also discussed.
Reading Young Mens Christian Association
A letter was read from the Association stating that members wished to make a trip by canoes over the Canal. It was decided to charge 2/6 for each canoe.
Next Meeting
It was Ordered that the next Meeting be held on the 27^th January 1932 @ 4 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4.30 o'clock pm on same day.
