[Dec 1933] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 20^th day of December 1933 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: Stanley Marling, W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, R J C Little.
Only four Members of the Committee being present there was no quorum, but there being some matters requiring immediate attention, it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Stonehouse Cross Bridge Electric Cables
The Clerk reported that the West Gloucester Power C^oy had laid the Cables and the work was satisfactory.
Premises at Stonehouse Wharf Tenancy
The Clerk was instructed to reply to Mr Paynter's application that the premises would not be vacant til 25^th March next, and write to Messrs Ward that this Company would be glad to have their assurance that vacant possession would be given at Lady-day next in accordance with their notice of the 28^th September last.
Gloucestershire County Council, Watercourse at Eastington: Forkett Pound
The Clerk reported that the Watercourse had been cleared by the County Council. The Clerk mentioned that a large quantity of silt had been gathered at the mouth of the Watercourse in the Forkett Pound and it was decided to write to the County Surveyor with a view to its removal by the Highways Committee.
Abdella-Mitchell Moorage of boats at Eastington
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had been written to Messrs Abdella-Mitchell who had replied that their decision would be communicated in due course.
Canal Association, Bridges
A letter was read from the Canal Association and after discussion it was left to the Chairman to settle a letter for the Clerk to write to the Association.
Canal Bank at Bond's Mill
The Clerk reported that the work was in hand.
Treasurer of the Company
A letter form Mr Horner announcing his retirement and consequent resignation as Hon Treasurer and application from M^r Du Santoy his successor as Manager at Lloyds Bank Ltd applying for the post was read. This was approved, the Chairman undertaking to write to Mr Horner expressing regret at his retirement and appreciation of his services.
Next Meeting
Ordered that the next Meeting of the Committee be held on the 24^th January 1934 at 4 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting on the same day at 4.30 o'clock pm.
