Summary

Mr Martin requested to attend Committee of Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co on subject of future repairs of Walk Bridge.
Frederick Nurse to pay balance of rent due. Mr Sherwood to recover Chas James' rent.
Report on Tetbury traffic showed that the expense of carriage by common carriers and railway was more than by canal to Dudbridge.
When James Nurse has removed coal lying beyond boundary allotted to him, he is not to place any more there.
Dry ragstone wall to be erected at foot of Foundry Lock.
Proposed that Frederick Nurse's rent to be reduced to £25 for wharf house and beer shop. Now pays £33 per annum.
Immediate repair of leakage of wall at foot of lower lock at Double Lock.
Thomas Clark allowed 7s 6d for inner door at house at Stonehouse Wharf.
Mr Sherwood to examine bridge at Ocean and report on what needs to be done.
Mr Shewood to engage carpenter in lieu of Hanman.
John Griffin to remove barge in brook next dock at Chippenham Platt.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Monday Augt 18th 1845
Present: M^R Dan Watts, Jn^o Gurney, Geo Wathen, Jn^o Holbrow, Rich^d Martin Chairman, Jn^o Stanton, Will^m Fryer, G H A Beard, Will^m J Wood.
With regard to the future repairs of Walk Bridge,
Ordered that M^r Martin be requested to attend the Committee of the Glocester & Berkeley Company on the subject.
Ordered that Fred^k Nurse do pay the balance of his rent due at Ladyday last.
M^r Sherwood reported that he had not yet received Cha^s James;s rent. Ordered that he be further requested to recover the same.
M^r Sherwoods Report was read with regard to the Tetbury Traffic; by which it appeared that the expense of Carriage by Common Carrier and Railway was by more than by Canal to Dudbridge.
Ordered that the Report be filed.
The Committee having confirmed the Allotment of the Wharf at Dudbridge,
Ordered that M^r Hawker do give notice to James Nurse that when he has removed the Coal now lying beyond the boundary allotted to him, that he be desired not to place any more there.
Ordered that a dry Rag Stone Wall be erected at the Foot of the Foundry Lock.
Proposed by M^r Gurney and seconded by M^r Jn^o Stanton,
That Fred^k Nurses's Rent be reduced to £24 per an from Sept 29h next for the Wharf House and Beer Shop for which he now pays £33 per an^m.
Ordered that M^r Sherwood do take immediated Steps for repairing the leakage of the Wall at the foot of the lower Lock at the Double Lock.
Ordered that Thomas Clark be allowed 7^s/6 for the inner door at the house at Stonehouse Wharf.
Ordered that M^r Sherwood do examine the Bridge at the Ocean and report to the next Committee what may be necessary to be done.
Ordered that all other Repairs suggested by the Committee of Inspection on Augt 12th be carried into effect as soon as convenient.
Ordered that M^r Sherwood be empowered to engage a Carpenter in lieu of Hanman.
Ordered that John Griffin do immediately remove the Barge that is now lying in the brook near the Dock at Chippenham Plat and that M^r Hawker do write to him to that effect.
Ordered that all Bills, including our Solicitors be collected before the next Committee Meeting.
