I regret I have been unable to attend to the clearing of the river bank as per notice received from the Drainage Commission and will not have my men there by 1 September as they are now on general weeding and mowing of the banks, but the matter will be attended to as soon as possible. Most likely the canal pound and the river bank will be taken together. Can you offer an extension of time which will help us very much.
