Cutting a lock 10ft deep at Framilode
Framiload April 1^st 1775
Sir,
the Bearer hereof Wait upon you to fix which way the Cutting is Intended to be done as to Price the Proposals you have & should be gale you woud agree with them in acording [us] the determination of of the Directors.
[To] have set them the Lock 10 feet deep to get out as under:
first depth 4 foot at 3½^d
2^d D^o 3 foot at 4
3^d D^o 3 foot at 4½.
I am going home to day & hope you will forward the work as much as possible till I return,
