To the Gentlemen the proprietors of the Navigable River To Stroud in the County of Gloucester.
An Estimate of the wall att Framiload fronting the River Severn in the said County -- as follows Viz;
To find Stone Lime and Labour and to have it Done in a Good workmanlike manner the front part to be Done with good (?) Stone's and with our UpRiver Brown Lime Mix's with Severn Sand.
For Six Shillings per perch -- Carrage Excepted.
And if find Carrage, will Serve for Nine Shilling and three halfpence per perch.
As for the foundations of the Said wall, I will Come to the (?) That M^r Bough Shall think the value May be, Because I do allow him to be more Able to Estimate in that than I myself am.
I being as I may say Correct in Regard to Estimating, as it do lie against The Beating of the River, tides, &c, and there Must Be Great Care Taken in and with the whole Concern.
And furthermore I should take it as a favour of you Gentlemen if you would Send an Answer as soon as you please to Lett me know How you Like my proposals. if so I will Buy in and prepare things that Will Be wanting in and for the Said work and if you Object any of The Above Mention'd proposals please to Send one word and I will If possible Endeavour to Make it Agreeable.
