M^r Lingard Stourbridge 3^d Oct 1777
I (?) your Letter and Hearing you was to come into this Country I took this opportunity of Writsing to you Concerning the Building of Some Locks which I think I can make Conveniant If we Can agree upon terms I shall proposs Hereafter Viz: I proposs to finish the Carpenter work for Each Lock at Thirty Guineas per Lock the Sawing Inclusd^d. Having all materials Redy upon the preminss wher Each lock is to be Erected and if this Estimation will please the Comitty I Hope I shall Esteem those further favors. Please give me an answear as soon as Convenient
