Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of October 1946 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R S Bloxam, R J C Little.
There being only two members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Messrs Sperry Gyroscope Coy Ltd: Blockhouse & Swing Bridge
It was reported that Messrs Daniels & Coy were unable to undertake to inspect the bridge and blockhouse The Clerk was directed to get in touch King & Coy of Newmarket.
Blockhouses at Whitminster and Eastington
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a letter had been written to the Land's Officer at Bath. There had been no reply
Cuckolds Brook Culvert: M^ r Redler
The Chairman read a letter under date 27^th September from M^r Redler. The Committee directed that M^R Redler be informed that as the culvert itself is clear the Navigation is in no way responsible for any overflow or flooding. The Company has no right to go on the land on his side of the Culvert. The Chairman undertook to settle a reply.
Whitminster: Water from the Canal, Mrs Best
Agreement of the 25^th September 1940
The Chairman read a letter from Mrs. Best. After discussion it was agreed to accept Mrs. Best's letter as notice, and if she will have the pipe removed and the bank of the Canal made good prior to the 25^th March next the Company will repay her the sum of £2 12s 0d being half a years rent The Chairman undertook to settle a letter for the Clerk to send to Mrs. Best.
Stroud Metal Coy: Water supply from Canal at Dudbridge
An application by the Stroud Metal Company for permission to obtain a supply of water from the Canal at Dudbridge was discussed. The Clerk was directed to obtain further information.
