Verbatim text

Asembled
The Opinion of Edward Owen and Several more,
That the Coles can be dilivred at the hed of the Stroud Navigation for Six pences per ton more then what they are dilivred at Fromelo exclusev of the duties or toles of the River and that the Canal can bee no neusance to the old River in regarde to the miles as there will bee proper Reservair to Soport it which may be of Servis to the mills on the Old river wen the water is lo in the Severn as Shropshire or Stafford Shire Coles cannot come Down
That during the Summer Season no Vessells of Burthen can come down the River loaded to Gloster sometimes for 15 or 20 weeks together the ? it a total ? for 6 Months in the year sow that at very dry Times the Canal will be but little used.
