Report of the directors of the Company who travelled to Bristol to gain support from Merchant Hall application to Parliament.
Mayor and corporation of Bristol to be asked for their support.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 7^th of December 1775
Present: Joseh Wathen in y^e Chair, Richard Aldridge, John Hollings, Thomas White, Durley Wintle.
A Report was made from the Gentlemen that went to Bristol and attended at the Merchants Hall and Obtained a Petition from them in favour of our application to Parliament.
Ordered that M^r Hollings and M^r Wathen be desired to go to Bristol next Tuesday to wait on the Mayor & Corporation to request a Petition from them in support of our Bill.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 21^st Instant December at five o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
