Summary

It was agreed that new bridges would be of the same breadth as the present ones.
Mr Clutterbuck to be paid rent for fields up till Lady Day 1778, and his lands used for the canal to be paid for.
Meddal’s Meadow to be cleared.
Leakage at Pool Wall. Need to be re-puddled.
A bridge is to be made at Nassfield Tyning, being the Old Road.
No more money is to be paid to Mr Herne until the parapet walls on Bristol Road Bridge be taken down and rebuilt.
Mr Pashley agrees to build swivel bridge at Bonds Mill for 8 guineas, company to find materials and carriage.
Call of 10% to be made for subscribers to pay by 1st August.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn at Wheatenhurst on Thursday the 29^th Day of May 1777
Present: James Winchcombe, John Hollings, Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, Robert Ellis, Freame Arundell, Durley Wintle, Benjamin Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the Last Meeting.
M^r Merrett hath measured Lord Middletons Land.
Agreed that the Bridges are to be continued of the same breadth as the present Ones.
It is agreed to pay M^r Clutterbuck One Years Rent for the whole of his Lands in Wheatenhurst Mead, to Lady Day 1777, the Sum of £3..15 ~~ and to pay him for his Lands Used in the Canal, and also for the Lands sepparated from his other Lands at the Rate of Thirty four Shillings per Acre and Thirty five Years purchase, to be free of all Taxes and impositions ~~~ And it is also further agree'd to pay him One Years Rent for a piece of Land now adjoining to his other Lands, to Lady Day 1778, at the rent of £1..5 and also to pay him the remainder of what is due to him for his Lands in Saul field ~~ the whole of his Lands to be imediately measured and pay'd for.
M^r Davis is ordered to Send a Bill of Parcells with every Scantling that is delivered for use of the Navigation to M^r Bough; And M^r Grazebrook is desired to Survey his Timber, on Monday next, and fix such as is proper for our Use.
Ordered that M^rs White be paid Thirty five Shillings for the Damage done on her Lands to this Day.
M^r Saunders allows that M^r Clutterbuck hath eight Ridges of Land in Pool field, and the late M^r Watkings and himself, four ~~ the measurement is in the Hands of M^r Grazebrook and to be immediately Settled.
Ordered that Meddals Meadow be immediately Cleared, and application be made to M^r Hall for the particulars of the Land cut thro' so as to ascertain the several Boundaries with the Land holders.
Ordered that the Leakage at Pool wall be immediately Survey'd, and if necessary to be fresh Puddled, and money kept back till the Bank is secured from Weeping.
Application having been made by Edmund Phillips Esq^r for a Bridge to his Lands adjoining M^r James's Land, It is Ordered that a Bridge be erected in Nasfield Tyning, being the Old Road.
M^r Phillips's Land already Cutt thro', to be taken into Consideration at our next Meeting.
Ordered that no more money be paid M^r Herne till the Parapet Walls of the Bristol Road Bridge be taken down and rebuilt, with good range work of their present Thickness, according to his agreement.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Four Hundred Pounds.
M^r Pashley Offers to Build the Swivell Bridge at Bonds Mill for Eight Guineas, in a Workmanlike manner, Sawing all the Timber exclusive of the Plank, the Company to find Materials & Carriage.
Ordered that M^r Pashley do deliver to our ned Meeting the Number of Poles and the Lengths they will be wanted to secure the upper Side of the Framiload Lock.
An enquiry to be made into the Number of Bricks that were not delivered, which were purchased of Farmer Stephens.
M^r Bough is desired to bring in his Proposals and Estimate for building the three next Locks.
An enquiry to be made into Owner Deagues Conduct regarding the freight of Stone.
Ordered that a Call of Ten per Cent be made on the Subscribers of the Navigation to be paid on or before the 1^st Day of August next.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 12th Day of June next at four o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
