Mr James must take to the banks as soon as it is levelled. He agreed providing the banks were properly levelled and sowed.
John Pashley to hand over keys to lock and tonnage receipts to Mr Grazebrook and quit house.
Bristol Road Bridge to be covered in stone and gravel to a depth of 8 inches more than it currently is.
The stank at the first lock at Chippenham Platt to be cut out so that the feeder can supply enough water to convey materials up to the works.
Timber from Monmouth to be landed at Bristol Road if there is not sufficient water to take it to Chippenham Platt.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 28^th day of August 1777
Present: Joseph Wathen, John Hollings, Freame Arundell, Robert Ellis, Durley Wintle, Benjamin Grazebrook, Thomas White.

Jos: Grazebrook Reported that he has apply'd to M^r Keck, who has promised to go and view M^r Prices Timber.
The account of the Timber is sent to M^r Phillips, and the Value of his Land reffered to be settled by M^r Winchcombe.
No Acc^t of M^r Biglands Timber yet Received.
M^r B: Grazebrook has acquainted M^r James that the Company expects he will take to the Banks as soon as Levell'd, M^r James agree'd to it on Condition that the Banks are properly Levell'd ans sowed.
The Posts and Hurdles are putting up in the Court Orchard and West Field.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he has waited on John Andrews Esq^r to treat with him for his Land, but did not come to any agreement. M^r B: Grazebrook is desired to waite on him again for that purpose.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do give M^r Barnard Notice to Levell the Banks in M^r Martins Fields.
Ordered that an inquiry be made of M^r King what will be the most convenient time for bottoming and Clearing the Mill pond, and that preparations be made for that purpose.
Ordered that M^r Beswick do have Notice given him to attend the Committee at their next Meeting, in the intermin that he do not sett more hands to work.
Ordered that Jos: Grazebrook do go to M^r Pashley and receive the Money for the Tonnage which he has in his hands; and that he deliver the Key of the Lock to him, and that another person be employ'd to attend the Lock; and that J Grazebrook do give M^r Pashley Notice to quit the House immediately; if M^r Pashley thinks himself aggrived he may Attend the next Meeting of the Committee.
Ordered that M^r Lingard do give Notice to Mess^rs Bough & Edge to finish the Covering the Bridge at Bristol Road with Stone & Gravell Eight Inches thicker that it now is, that it be finished in a Compleat and Substantial manner, as soon as possible and that M^r Lingard do attend to see it executed, and that Mess^rs Bough & Edge do Compleat the other works according to their agreement.
Ordered that M^r Lingard do see that the Stank at the first Lock at Chippenhams Platt be immediately Cutt out that the Feeder may Supply the Canal with water, to convey the materials up to the works. ~~~ And also that M^r Lingard do give Notice that the Vessell that brings the Timber from Monmouth do bring it up to the Bristol Road and Land it there, if there is not water sufficient to Convey it to Chippenhams Platt.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 4^th day of September next at 4 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
