Summary

John Pickston has not taken his men off Mr Reddall’s land as told, or from Church Yard. If he does not set them to work at Burryfield immediately he will not be paid anything next Saturday.
Mr Grazebrook has reviewed the level from Nassfield Lock to the lock on Mr Andrews' ground, and nicked out the line of the canal in Mr Wyatt’s and Mr James land.
Clerk to write to Sam Bowley for a proper quantity of white clover seeds to sow the banks.
Sam Smith to receive the tonnage for coals at 1s 6d per ton at Chippenham Platt.
Sam Smith be allowed £5 towards his rent over and above his wages.
Benjamin Grazebrook to get a barge to bring bricks from Frampton to Chipman’s Platt, and to enquire for a house to be taken to erect a temporary forge.
Company carter to take on a boy to assist him, of wages not exceeding 5s a week.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 19^th Day of February 1778
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Thomas White, Robert Ellis, Benjamin Grazebrook, Freame Arundell.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^ Kings Account of Damages deferred to a future Consideration.
M^r Reddall have not yet returned the Deed of Conveyance to M^r Lane.
M^r Gleave Reported that he had given Jn^o Pickston Notice to take off his men from M^r Reddalls Land, but that he still employs five men in that part. ~~ Ordered that M^r Gleave do give him Notice tomorrow morning that if he do not take off his men from that part and sett them to work in Burryfield immediately, that he shall not be paid one Shilling on Saturday next for any of his work, And also that he do take off his men from the Church Yard instantly.
No answer from M^r Yeoman to M^r Baylis's Letter.
M^r B: Grazebrook reported that he had attended with M^r Gleave and reviewed the Levell from the Lock in Nass Field, to the Lock in M^r Andrews Land, and taken it up and down, and found it to be right.
M^r Grazebrook reported that he had attended to the Nicking out the Line of the Canal in M^r Wyatts and M^r James Land.
Agreed with M^r Richard Davis for his Oak Timber For Land Tyes, etc, the Timber to be first Squared, then measured, and afterwards to be Cutt through of the sizes wanted at 1^s/6^d per foot, M^r Keene to attend from time to time to see that it is Cutt proper for our purpose.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to M^r Sam^l Bowley for a proper Quantity of white Clover seeds to sow the Banks.
Ordered that Sam. Smith be appointed to receive the Tonnage for Coals, etc, at 1^s/6^d per Ton at Chippenhams Platt.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook be desired to Settle with M^r Phillips the Timber to be used for the Building of his Dyehouse.
Ordered that M^r B:Grazebrook be desired to gett a Barge to bring Bricks from Framton to Chippenhams Platt.
Ordered and agreed with Tho^s Howell, in consideration of the advance'd price of Iron, that we do give him from this time one faterhing per Lb advance upon his work.
Ordered that an inquiry be made by M^r B: Grazebrook for a house to be taken to erect a Temporary Forge to carry on the Smiths work.
Ordered that Sam^l Smith be allowed £5... towards his Rent, to be reckoned from Xmas last past to Xmas next, over and above the wages allowed him.
Ordered that our carter do have a boy to assist him, at Wages not exceeding five shillings per week.
Ordered a Bill to be Drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 26^th Instant at 5 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
