At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the Golden Cross at Cainscross on Thursday the 30^th Day of April 1778
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Hayes, William Knight, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Richard Bigland, Robert Ellis, Thomas White, Freame Arundell, John Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r Kings Acc^t of Damages deffered till we have an interview with him.
Nothing Yett Settled relative to Stonehouse Church Yard.
Mess^rs Daniel and William Chance attended on behalf of their Father relative to their Lands, and an Article was entered into and executed by them for such Lands as will be wanting; Ordered that the Conveyances be immediately drawn by M^r C: Gardner and the purchase money paid agreeable to the articles entered into.
Mess^rs Harris & Bush attended on behalf of the Corporation of Glocester and Geo: Augustus Sellin Esq^r to treat for their Lands, when a proposal was made to give them as follows, Viz: For the whole of little Harry's Acre three pounds ten shillings per Ann: and Thirty Years purchase. Fro the whole of the wier Meadow two pounds Ten Shillings per acre per Ann: and Thirty Years purchase. And for what may be wanting in the Mill meadow, and the Dye house Meadow two pounds The Shillings per acre per ann: and Thirty five Years purchase, free of all Taxes Rates and Imposition whatsoever, to which proposal they promised to give and answer in a fortnight.
Nothing Yett Settled relative to M^r Webbs Land.
M^r Kemmett attended some of the Committee on Tuesday last, and made a proposal to Supperintend the whole of the works till Compleat for the Sum of Two Hundred Guineas.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the ~~~ Treasurer for the Sum of Three Hundred pounds.
Ordered that M^r Jn^o Couch be paid on Account for Stone, Sixty pounds.
Ordered that M^r Eycott be desired to attend the next Meeting.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 7^th Day of May next at five o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
