John Gleave to make a drain to the bottom of the Old River in order to fill the canal.
A call of 10% is to be made on the Proprietors of the Navigation, to be paid before 16 July.
Clement Atkins to be allowed 12s a week for checking and stacking the good bricks at George Edward’s brick yard.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 7^th Day of May 1778

Nothing Yett Settled relative to M^r Kings Damages, Ordered that our Clerk do wait on M^r King for his account of the Damages, to be produced at our next Meeting.
Nothing Yett Settled relative to Stonehouse Church Yard.
Ordered that M^r White be desired to waite on M^r Chance tomorrow morning with our Clerk, and pay him the sum of Three Hundred pounds in part for his Land, on M^r Chance's giving posession of the meadow rented by M^r Hawker, and that part of Dedmarlin to the Lower side of the Canal, and also that part of Cainscross hill wanting for the Bridge. And to take a receipt for the money paid.
Ordered that John Gleave do make a Drain at the Bottom of the Old River in the Land lately purchased of M^r Andrews, in Order to fill the Canal with water.
Ordered that M^r Wathen be desired to waite on Henry Stephens Esq^r at Chasnage, in order to fix a day when he will receive the money for his Land.
Ordered that M^r Colborne be desired to waite on M^r Webb and pay him for his Land agreeable to his articles, and take a proper Receipt for the same.
Odered that a Call of Ten per cent be made on the Proprietors of the Navigation, and that the same be advertised in the next Glocester Journal payable on or before the 16^th day of July next.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds.
M^r Eycott attended the Committee, when the money was paid him for his Land taken into the Canal, and a receipts Signed for the same.
Ordered that Clement Atkins be employed to see the Brick properly stacked at Geo: Edwards's Brick Yards, and to take a just account of them, and to see that none but hard Bricks are Stacked, and also to take and Account of the work done by the several Teams employed in the works ~~ and that he be allowed Twelve shillings per week for the same.
Ordered that M^r B. Pashley do attend the next Meeting.
Ordered that Samuel Smith do attend the next Meeting.
Adjourned the Meeting to Monday the 11^th Instant at 5 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
