Summary

Thomas Powell of Broadoak to build the boat for Farmer Coaley, for 6 guineas.
Cutters to wheel superfluous earth and gravel in Mr Reddal’s lands over the Old River and make a bank with the same.
Clerk to write to R. Owen Cambridge to inform him that the millpond shall be deepened as soon as there is a scarcity of water.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 21^st day of May 1778
Present; Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, John Allaway, Robert Ellis, Thomas White.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
No Account Received of M^r Kings Damages. ~~ Ordered that our Clerk do waite on his for the same against the next Meeting.
Nothing Yett Settled relative to Stonehouse Church Yard.
Oir Clerk Reported that he have agreed with Tho^s Powell of Broad Oak to Build a new Boat for the use of Farmer Coaley, for the Sum of Six Guineas.
M^r Colborne produced a Rough Draft of M^r Stephens's Conveyance. Ordered that our Clerk do waite on M^r Stephens for his appropriation of the same.
Ordered that John Gleave do see that the Cutters do wheel all the Superfluous earth & Gravell in M^r Reddals Land over the Old River, and there make a bank of the same, first taking off the Soil from under the said Bank at least one foot Deep.
Ordered that M^r Bough do purchase all the Aberthaw Pebbles he can procure on the best terms he can.
Ordered that the Oak Timber lying in the Court Orchard be imediately Saw'd out into Gate Bars.
Ordered that M^r Collins be paid Twenty pounds on Acct for Bricks purchased of Thomas Davis.
Oedered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurers for the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to M^r Cambridge to inform him that the Millpond shall be deepened, as soon as there is a scarcity of water.
Ordered that all the Stone in the upper Canal be imediately raised and Stack'd on the banks.
Ordered that M^r Ellis be desired to waite on the Rev^d M^r Pettat to Settle with him for his Glebe Land at Thirty Years purchase.
Adjourned the Meeting to Tuesday the 26^th Instant at Ten o Clock in the Morning at the George Inn in Stroud.
