Tonnage from the 9 April last to this day amounting to £330 0s 8d to be applied to completing the works.
Agreed on tythes with the Vicar of Stonehouse, the Rector of Eastington and the several parishes of Saul, Frethern and Wheatenhurst.
At a General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this 8^th Day of October 1778 at the George Inn in the Town of Stroud

The Minutes of the last Meeting were Read and Confirmed.
The Several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company (as directed by the Act of Parliament) and examined and Confirmed. ~~ The General State of the Works was also laid before the Proprietors.
Ordered that the Money Received for Tonnage from the 9^th April last, to this Day, amounting to the Sum of Three Hundred and Thirty Pounds and Eight Pence, be paid into the Treasurers Hands and apply'd towards Compleating the Works.
Agreed with the Rev^d M^r John Pettate Vicar of Stonehouse, to Pay him Three Shillings per acre per annum for all Land taken in the Canal and Towing Path in the Parish of Stonehouse in Satisfaction of all Tythes due from the Proprietors for the said Land.
Agreed with the Rev'd M^r William Davies Rector of Eastington to Pay him Three Shillings per acre per annum for all Land taken in the Canal and Towing Path in the Parish of Eastington in Satisfaction of all Tythes due from the Proprietors for the said Land.
Agreed with M^r William King to Pay him Two Shillings and Sixpence per acre per annum for all Land taken in the Canal and Towing Path in the several Parishes of Saul, Frethern & Wheatenhurst in Satisfaction for all Tythes due from the Proprietors for the said Land.
