At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 28^th day of January 1779
Present: Thomas Hayes, Joseph Wathen, William Knight, Thomas Baylis, Anthony Keck, Thomas White, Fream Arundell, John Hollings, John Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Ordered that the whole Acc^t of Stone and Brick work don by Mess^rs Bough & Edge be produced as soon as possible.
M^r King is paid his whole Acc^t for Damages, Halling and Stoping his Mikk, and has given a full Discharge for the same.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do settle with M^r Kidman for his Damages.
The Hutt in M^r Chambers's Land is pull'd down, and the say Pitt is fill'd up; and Ew^d Edge has orders given him to prevent trespasses.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do waite on M^r Hill on the Subject of his Letter to M^r Winchcombe and propose five Guineas to be expending in any form for his accomadation.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r Lane is of Opinion that the Conveyance for M^r Thomas Ellis for Barn Orchard will be very sufficient without the Joint Execution of M^r Ellis Sen^r and M^r Robert Ellis. Ordered that the Money be imediately paid to M^r Thomas Ellis for the said ORchard, on his Executing the Conveyance of the same.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
Agreed with M^r Anthony Keck for Building the double Lock near Ryeford according to Proposalls delivered for the Sum of Seven Hundred and Sixty Pounds.
Ordered that Two Shillings per Ton be taken for all Coals imported to Ryeford.
Ordered that the Wharf at Easton be Cleared as soon as possible.
Ordered that the Island at Easton be prepared to have the Quick planted for a Mound as soon as possible.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 4^th day of February next at four o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
