Banks to be sown with proper seeds.
Mr Grazebrook to procure as many Aberthaw pebbles as possible.
An area not exceeding half an acre to be marked out adjoining the bridge in Mr Ellis’s lawn for a coal wharf.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 18^th Day of February 1779
Present: James Winchcombe, Thomas Baylis, Joseph Wathen, Ben^m Grazebrook, John Hollings.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Ordered that the whole Accounts of Stone and Brick work done by Mess^rs Bough & Edge be produced as soon as possible.
M^r Kidmans damages amounting to the Sum of ……. is Settled and Paid.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do waite on M^r Hil on the Subject of his Letter to M^r Winchcombe, and propose five Guineas to be expended in any form he shall think proper for his accomadation.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do make a demand on M^r Sam^l Stephens and M^r Sam^l Collins for the Wharfage of Coals Landed on our Wharf at the Bristol Road.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do employ a proper person to level and prepare the Banks and to Sow them with proper Seeds.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he has given M^r Phillips Notice that we shall take the Land as Ordered at the last Meeting for a Wharf.
Ordered that no Vessell be permitted to pass the Bridge at Ryford, except for the purpose of the Works.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do procure as many Aberthay Pebles as Possible he can.
Ordered that Mr B: Grazebrook do mark out a Quantity of Land not exceeding half an Acre (including a Road to the same) adjoining to the Bridge in M^r Ellis's Lawn, for a Coal Wharf.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds.
Ordered that M^r Webbs Land be imediately mark'd out in order to widen the Wharf, as directed at the last Meeting. And that M^r Webb be inform'd he may have what Gravell he shall have occasion for to make the path.
Ajourned this Meeting to Thursday the 4^th day of March next at five o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
