At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 4^th day of March 1779
Present: Joseph Wathen, William Knight, John Hollings, Fream Arundell, Anthony Keck, Thomas Baylis, John Allaway, Benjamin Grazebrook, Richard Bigland.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
The Account of Stone and Brick work (done by Mess^rs Bough & Edge) is produced, except the Coping of some Locks and Bridges, which are not yett finished, and therefore cannot be measured.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he has informed M^r Hill of the order of our last Meeting.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he has made a demand on Mess^rs Stephens and Collins for the Wharffage of Coals landed at our Wharfs, which they have promised to pay immediately.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he have procured Seeds for the Banks, and have engaged Farmer King to Sow the same.
M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he have mark'd out M^r Webbs Land as directed. ~~ Ordered that the same be immediately fenced with proper Posts and Rails.
Ordered that the General half yearly Meeting of the Proprietors be advertised in the next Glocester Journal to be held at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the first day of April next at Ten of the Clock in the forenoon.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 18^th Instant at 5 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
