Men are put to work in the corner of Mr Reed’s garden necessary for altering the old river.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 8^th of July 1779
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, James Dallaway, Fream Arundell, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the order relative to M^r Chances Posts and Railes.
M^r Wathen Reported that he has wrote to M^r Loyde, and have Rece'd his Consent for the small bitt of Land at the Bottom of his Garden necessary for altering the Old River. Ordered that M^r Wathen be desired to remit M^r Loyde a Bill for the same, at the Rate of £100 per acre for the Land taken. Ordered that the Men do imediately proceed to work on the said Land.
M^r Grazebrook Reported that he has settled and Paid M^r Biggs for the Damage done on his Land.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 15^th Instant at 5 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
