General Meeting
Messrs Lane and Jepson be engaged to commence an action against Mr Anthony Keck for non-performance in building the Double Lock.
Agreed that Mr Keck do immediately proceed to repair the said lock and for which purpose that Mr Keck be paid the balance remaining in our hands on that account amounting to the sum of £157 19s 9d. An agreement is now drawn by Messrs Lane and Stock and executed by us and Mr Keck to prevent the said reparation from quashing or in anywise destroying part of the original agreement until the same can be brought to an issue at the next Lent assizes.
Action to be commenced against Thomas Pride for fishing in the canal.
The General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this 9^th fay of July 1780 at the George Inn in Stroud in pursuance of an Advertisment in the Glocester Journal for that purpose.

Resolved Unanimously that Mess^rs Lane & Jepson be engaged to Commence an Action against M^r Anthony Keck for Nonperformance in Building the Double Lock.
Agreed that M^r Keck do immediately proceed to Repair the said Lack and for which purpose M^r Keck be paid the Ballance remaining in our hands on that Account amounting to the Sum of One hundred and Fifty Seven Pounds Nineteen Shillings and Nine Pence. An agreement is now drawn by Mess^rs Lane & Stock and Executed by us who are present, and M^r Keck, to prevent the said Reparation from Quashing or in any wise destroying any part of the Original Agreement untill the same can be brought to an Issue at the next Lent Assizes.
Ordered that an Action be commenced against Thomas Pride for fishing in the Canal provided sufficient Evidence can be procured to prove the fact.
