Messrs Land & Jepson to be instructed to write to William King at Wheatenhurst to inform him that action will be taken if he does not make immediate satisfaction for the stone he has taken.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 7^th of September 1780
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Ben^m Grazebrook, James Dallaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to M^r Butchers Lands.
Continued the Order relative to the Wall for Enclosing the Wharf at Wallbridge.
Continued the Order relative to halling Earth to the Ryford.
M^r Chance not attending, Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Committee Meeting.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to M^r Halliday to desire him to fix a day when the Gentlemen may meet him relative to the road over the Bridge.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on the Parties fix'd upon to settle M^rs Balls Business, and it is agreed to Postpone it untill M^r Smith can have Notice to attend on behalf of M^r Ball.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on Thomas Pettat Esq^r who has inform'd him that the Rev^d M^r Sandford is not in the Country but that he will take care to get the Deed executed by him; M^r Phillis and Miss Brown having already Executed it.
Ordered that our Clerk do waite on W^m Knight Esq^r with the Compliments of this Committee and inform him that they wish to see him at the next Meeting in Order to Settle for his Lands made use off for the purposes of the Navigation.
Ordered that our Clerk do desire Mess^rs Lane & Jepson to write to M^r W^m King at Wheatenhurst to inform him that if he do not immediately make Satisfaction to the Committee for the Stone he has taken, that an Action will be Commenced against him.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 26^th Instant at 5 o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
