Mr Merrett has started the canal plan but because of bad weather has not finished it.
Benjamin Grazebrook agreed with William Hutchins for planting withies at 2s 6d per hundred. The said William Hutchins to find the sets, prepare the ground and plant the same at that price.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 8th of February 1781
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Nathaniel Jones, James Dallaway, Ben^m Grazebrook, Fream Arundell, John Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to the Wall enclosing the Wharf at Wallbridge.
M^r Halliday being from home, Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r Merrett hath begun the Survey & Plan of the Canal & Lands belonging to the Company; but the Weather being bad he hath not finished the same.
M^r William King not attending the Committee, defferr'd the Consideration of his Business till the next Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath inform'd M^r Remmington of the Order of last Meeting.
M^R B: Grazebrook Reported that he hath agree'd with W^m Hutchins for Planting Wythys at 2/6 per hundred; the said W^m Hutchins to find the setts, prepare the Ground, and Plant the same at the above Price.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 8^th of March next at five o'clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
