Summary

George Lodge to be allowed £3 per annum towards his house rent during the time that he continues in the Company service.
Mary Colborne of Bownham, widow and sister of James Winchcombe late of the same place, made out her claim to 5 shares nos. 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 as being his legatee executrix.
The clerk is to procure a person to repair the boats belonging to the Company as soon as possible.
A weir is to be made in a convenient place for taking the superfluous water from the Stonehouse level.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 8^th Day of March 1781
Present: Joseph Wathen, Fream Arundell, John Hollings, John Allaway, Thomas Baylis, Nathaniel Jones, Thomas White, Ben^m Grazebrook, Richard Bigland.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to M^r Butchers Land.
Continued the Order relative to the Wall enclosing the Wharf at Wallbridge.
M^r Halliday not attending Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Meeting.
M^r Merrett hath not yett Completed the Plan of the Canal, but will finish the same as soon as Possible.
M^r William King not attending, Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Meeting and desire him to attend.
Ordered that M^r Simpson be paid the Damages due to him up to Michaelmas last agreeable to the Order of the Commissioners, and that M^r Simpson be likewise paid the Sum of £1..11..6 in fill consideration for Repairing the Road leading to his House.
Ordered that George Lodge be allow'd the Rate of Three Pounds per Annum towards his House Rent during the time that he continues in our Service.
Mary Colborne of Bownham in the Parish of Rodborough in the County of Glocester Widow and Sister of James Winchcombe late of the same Place Esquire deceased made out her Claim to Five Shares No^S 26, 27, 28, 39 and 30 the Property of the said James Winchcombe as being his Residuary Legatee and Excecutrix named in his last Will and Testament duly proved and produced to the Committee.
Ordered that the General half yearly Meeting of the Proprietors be held at the Swan Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 12^th of April next at Ten o'Clock in the forenoon, and that the same be Advertised in the Glocester Journal the two preceeding Weeks also that Circular Letters be sent to all Proprietors residing out of the County.
Ordered that our Clerk do procure a proper Person to Repair the Boats belonging to the Company as soon as Possible.
Ordered that a Wear be made in some convenient place for taking the Superfluous water from the Stonehouse Levell.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 29^th Instant at four o'clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
