Clerk has produced a rent book of the lands belonging to the Company.
Three subscribers have been paid off, but Mr Gabb will let his remain longer.
Ben Pashley to put all the lock gates in perfect repair and pitch the gates of the long pounds before the water is turned into the canal.
Mr Saunders had been spotted fishing in the canal and was ordered to desist.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 5^th of July 1781
Present: Joseph Wathen, John Allaway, John Hollings, Fream Arundell, James Dallaway, Ben^m Grazebrook, Thomas Baylis.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to the Wall enclosing the Wharf at Wallbridge.
M^r Halliday not attending, Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on M^r King, when M^r King Promised to attend some future Meeting and Settle with the Company.
No answer Yett Rece'd from M^r Keck relative to purchasing the bitt of Land at Ryford.
Continued the Order for Repairing the Road to Nasstend.
Our Clerk produced a Rent Book of the Lands belonging to the Co.
No answer Yet Reced from M^r Peach.
Our Clerk Reported that three of the Subscribers to the Loan are Paid off. M^r Gabb being the other Subscriber is willing to let his remain longer.
Ordered that a Book be provided, wherein shall be entred all standing Orders made at the Meetings of the Committee, and the same produce at every Meeting.
Ordered that Ben^n Pashley do put all the Lock Gates in perfect Repair and Pitch the Gates of the long Pounds before the water is turn'd into the Canal.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r Saunders Jun^r hath been Fishing with a Nett in the Canal. Ordered that he have Notice given him to desist, or otherwise he will be prosecuted for the same.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 9^th of August next at five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
