Summary

A flood gate is to be put across the old river near the feeder at Lodgemore in order to take off the water from the mill at certain flood times.
Towing path wall under the bridge at Westfield lock has fallen down. Mr Franklin employed to repair the same.
Mr Franklin to survey the Double Lock and report on the state of it.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 31^st of January 1782
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Fream Arundell, James Dallaway, John Allaway, Richard Bigland, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath Waited on M^r Turner, but Illness prevented his attendance. Ordered that he be requested to attend the next Meeting.
The Drain on M^r Cambridges Land is made agreeable to M^r Cambridges direction.
Ordered that at a proper Season a Flood Gate be put in across the Old River near the feeder at Lodgmore, in order to take off the water from the Mill at certain Flood times.
Examined and Settled Edward Keenes several Accounts. Ordered that the Ballance due him agreeable to such settlement be paid him on his giving a full discharge for the same.
Our Clerk Reported that the Towing path Wall under the Bridge at West Field Lock is fallen down, and that on Consulting Mess^r Hollings & Dallawya he hath employed M^r Franklin to repair the same.
Ordered that M^r Franklin do survey the Double Lock and Report the Real state of the same at the next Meeting.
Ordered that M^r Bigland be desired to waite on Mess^rs Lane & Jepson to request them to make application to M^r Knight to settle for the Land belonging to the Company or deliver up the same.
Ordered that Rich^d Evans be discharged from our service for not attending to his Duty ~~ but that Mess^rs Hollings, Dallaway & Grazebrook be empowered to take him on again on his making such concessions as they shall see fit.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 26^th of February next at five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
