Tonnage from 9 April, £762 9s 7d, to be used to pay debts.
Benjamin Grazebrook and Company agreed for the tonnage and wharfage of all goods, wares and merchandise imported and exported in their two barges called the Stroud Galley and the Nancy for the sum of £50.
Letter was written to all Proprietors to present a scheme to pay off debts and to pay a dividend from the profits ensuing from the tonnage.

At a General half yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this 9^th Day of October 1782 at the George Inn in the Town of Stroud
Joseph Wathen in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were Read and Confirm'd.
The Several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the affairs of the Company (as directed by the Act of Parliament) and examined and Confirm'd.
Ordered that the Money Reced for Tonnage from the 9^th of April last amounting to the Sum of Seven Hundred and Sixty two Pounds Nine Shillings and Sevenpence be paid into the Treasurers hands and applied towards payment of the respective Debts.
Continued the order of the last General Meeting, of taking the necessary Steps for procuring a bit of Land at Stonehouse Cross for a Wharf.
Agreed with Ben^m Grazebrook & Co for the Tonnage and Wharfage of all Goods Wares and Merchandise which shall be Imported and Exported in their two Barges call'd the Stroud Galley and the Nancy till the next half yearly Meeting for the Sum of Fifty Pounds.
Examined M^r Ew^d Keens several Accounts; Ordered that the Ballance of £36:8:10 be paid him and a full Discharge taken for the same.
Ordered that a Circular Letter be wrote by our Clerk to all the Proprietors requesting their attendance at a special Meeting to be held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 12^th of November next at Ten o'Clock in the forenoon to take into Consideration a Scheme for paying off the Debts by an advance upon the Shares and in consequence to receive a Dividend of the Proffits arising from the Tonnage.
