AGM
Tonnage since 8 October, £1182 7s 9d, to be used to pay debts.
The committee were unable to acquire land at Stonehouse for a wharf, as Mr White was not empowered to sell until his title was confirmed. When confirmed he would be able to sell any amount to the Company.
The committee to agree with Benjamin Grazebrook and Co. for the tonnage of their vessels for the ensuing half year at a price not less than £50.
The Committee to advertise the fishery in the respective pounds between Wallbridge and Framilode to be let.

At a General half yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this 8^th Day of April 1783 at the George Inn in the Town of Stroud
James Wathen Esq^r in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last half yearly and Special General Meeting were Read and Confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company (as directed by the Act of Parliament) and Examined and Confirmed.
Ordered that the money Rece'd for Tonnage from the 8^th of October last to this day amounting to the Sum of Eleven hundred and Eighty two Pounds Seven Shillings and Nine Pence be paid into the Treasurers hands and applied towards payment of the Respective Debts.
The Committee have not had it in their power to procure a Bitt of Land at Stonehouse Cross for a Wharf; M^r White not being empowered to Sell, till he has secured his Title, but has promised, when the Title is secured, to accommodate the Company in any Quantity the shall have occasion for.
Resolved that the Committee be empowered to treat and agree with Ben^m Grazebrook & Co for the Tonnage of their Vessells for the ensuing half year at a price not less than Fifty Pounds.
Resolved that the same Committee be continued for the year ensuing.
Resolved that the thanks of this Meeting be give to Mess^r Hollings, Colborne & Wathen for their care & attendance during the passing of the new Bill in Parliament; The Business being settled much to the satisfaction of the General Body of Proprietors.
Ordered that the Committee do advertise the Fishers in the respective Ponds between Walbridge and Framiload to be Lett and that they do agree with any Person or Persons for the same at such price or prices and for such time as they at their discretion think proper.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to Mess^rs Lane & Jepson informing them that the Meeting is very much dissatisfied at their not settling the Business respecting the Corporation Land, likewise at their not sending in their Account, and desire they will immediately do it.
