Summary

Ticket for angling for Mr Hopkins of Ebley for three years in recompense for the temporary damages sustained in his orchard.
Complaint made of Mr Halliday stopping the road leading to the swivel bridge on his land. As the Commissioners have fixed the road we are ready to make him satisfaction for it.
Thomas Apperley of Cainscross convicted of taking fish from the canal. Fined 20s. 10s 6d of the fine is to be paid to the informant.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 8^th of July 1783
Present: Joseph Wathen, Nathaniel Jones, John Hollings, Ben^m Grazebrook, James Dallaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r James's Business not Yet Settled.
No Letter Yet Reced from M^r Cambridge.
The Catch Pool in little Harrys Acre is cleaned of the Mud.
Continued the Order for raising the Towing Path in the Levell below Bristol Road.
Continued the Order for repairing the Corner of the Crib at Framiload.
The Catch Pool leading from Stonehouse Cross to the Canal is cleared of Mud.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath Ordered a Cargo of Aberthaw Pebles but they are not yet arrived.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath given Jn^o Archol Notice that he must pay all Taxes for the Land he occupies from Lady day next, or quit the same.
The Leaks in the Bank at Ebley are Repaired.
Ordered that a Tickett be given to M^r W^m Hopkin of Ebley empowering him to Angle in the Canal for three years as a consideration for the Temporary Damages he sustained in his Orchard at the time the Canal was made.
Complaint having been made of M^r Hallidays stoping the Road leading to the Swivell Bridge on his Land, Ordered that our Clerk do waite upon M^r Halliday and inform him that the Commissioners have fix'd the Road, and that we are ready to make him satisfaction for the same and hope he will accede to it.
Our Clerk Reported that Tho^s Apperley of Cainscross hath been detected in taking Fish out of the Canal and has been taken before Thomas Gryffyn Esq^r who hath convicted him in the Fine of Twenty Shillings, which Sum Apperley hath paid. Ordered that 10/6 of the said Fine be paid to the Man who lodged the information, and the remainder after deducting the expenses be place in the General account of the Company.
Ordered that Mess^rs Lane & Jepson be desired to proceed against John Mosley the Younger of Cainscross for Fishing in the Canal.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 29^th Instant at Ten o'Clock in the Morning at the George Inn in Stroud.
