Summary

George White’s bill of £26 11s for attending the House of Commons for the Thames & Severn Bill approved. Mr Morgan to be paid £20 for the same.
A foot bridge is be made over the lower gates at Nassfield Lock to prevent people being disappointed when the upper gates are shut.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 29^th of July 1783
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, James Dallaway, Nathaniel Winchcombe, Ben^m Grazebrook, Fream Arundell, Thomas White.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r James's Business is not Yet Settled.
No Lettter Yet Rece'd from M^r Cambridge.
Continued the Order for raising the Towing Path in the Levell below Bristol Road.
Continued the Order for Repairing the Corner of the Crib at Framiload.
The Cargo of Pebles are not yet arrived.
Ordered that M^r Halliday be requested to attend the next Meeting.
M^r Hollings Reported that M^r Peach proposed to accept of Sixty Guineas in lieu of a Bridge at Whitmister. Ordered that our Clerk do inform M^r Peach that we shall not deviate from our former proposal.
Received a Letter from M^r George White enclosing his Bill for Business done in the House of Commons relating to the Act making the Thames & Severn Canal amounting to the Sum of £26:11. Ordered that the same be paid.
Ordered that M^r Morgan be paid Twenty Pounds for his attendance during the above Business.
M^r Stock having made application for the purchase of Spencehill Partridges Ground & Poolfield Corner, Ordered that the price for which the said Land was purchased by ascertained I order to enable us to fix a price with M^r Stock.
Ordered that a Foot Bridge be made over the lower Gates of Nass Field Lock to prevent People from being disappointed when the upper Gates are Shutt.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 26^th of August next at five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
