In settling an account with Messrs Daniel and William Chance a piece of land measuring one rood and thirteen perches adjoining a piece of meadowland called ‘The Moon’ valued at £23 3s 9d was acquired by the Company.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 16^th of August 1783
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Richard Bigland, Fream Arundell, Nataniel Jones, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r James's Business is not Yet Settled.
The Towing Path is raised agreeable to the order of last Meeting.
The Corner of the Crib at Framiload is Repaired.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath wrote to M^r Peach agreeable to the order of last Meeting.
M^r Whites Bill of £26:11 is discharged.
Our Clerk produced the particulars of the prices for which Partriges Ground, Spencehill & Pool Field corner was purchased. Ordered that our Clerk do write to M^r Stock to know if it will be conveniend for him to attend the next Meeting in order to take a View and fixe a price for the said Lands.
The Foot Bridge over the Lock at Nass Field is Compleated.
Mess^rs Daniel & William Chance attended and executed the Deeds of Conveyance for their Land to the Company and a Ballance due to them of Ninety three Pounds thirteen Shillings was paid. In settling which Account there was a piece of Land (late M^r Selwyns) containing by admeasurement one Rood & thirteen Perches adjoining to a piece of Meadow land call'd the Moon, Values to the said W^m Chance at £23:3:9.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 9^th of September next at Nine o'Clock in the morning on Board the Companys Barge at Wallbridge.
