Summary

Mr Keene paid whole of his rent to Lady Day last.
Mud on canal below the stop gate at Framilode cleared.
Plan of house at Double Lock approved. Estimate of expense by Wm Franklin and another by John Davis. John Davis to complete it for £65.
Wm Beard, lock keeper, has given warning to leave his place. Wages to be advanced to 12 shillings per week provided he hires himself to Company for one year.
Clerk distrained Mrs King's cattle for 7 years rent due last Lady Day but on John and William Fryer gave joint note for payment of money next Michaelmas the matter was settled.
Mr Palling to be paid money due him via a Company Bond payable after 3 months.
Mr Samuel King to pay 20 shillings per acre per annum for rent of Company's land. Notice to quit said land at Lady Day next.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn at Stroud on Tuesday the 17^th of August 1794
Present: Joseph Wathen, Fream Arundell, John Hollings, Thomas Baylis, James Dallaway, Ben^n Grazebrook, Thomas White.
Read the Minutes of the two last Committee Meetings.
Our Clerk Reported that Ew^d Keene has paid the whole of his Rent up to Lady Day last.
The Ballance of Mess^rs Lane & Jepsons Account is paid.
Our Clerk Reported that the Mud in that part of the Canal below the Stop Gate at Framiload is Cleared.
Our Clerk produced a Plan for a Lock House at the Double Lock with an Estimate of the Expence by W^m Franklin and another by John Davis. Agree'd with John Davis to compleat it for the sum of Sixty five pounds, an article specifying the particulars to be drawn for that purpose.
Our Clerk Reported that the Companys Barge has been Greaved.
Our Clerk Reported that W^m Beard (one of the Lock keepers) has given warning to leave his place. Ordered that his wages be advance to 12^s per Week provided he will agree to hire himself to us for one Year from Michaelmas next.
Our Clerk Reported that he did conformable to the Order of the Committee, distrain the Cattled of M^rs King for Seven Years Rent due at Lady Day last, but on Mess^rs John and William Fryer giving their joint Note for the payment of the money at Michaelmas next, the same was settled.
Ordered that M^r Palling have Notice given him that he will be paid the money due to him upon the Commitees Bond, at the expiration of three Months.
Ordered that our Clerk do make a Demand on M^r Sam^l King at the Rate of 20^s per Acre per Annum for Rent of the Land of the Companys in his possession, and also give him Notice to quit the said Land at Lady Day next.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 16^th of September next at Ten O'Clock in the forenoon on Board the Companys Barge.
