Summary

Rev Mr Yate authorised Mr Jepson to settle for his land.
Mr White, instead of accepting Committee's proposal, proposes to leave settlement to Rev Mr Pettat, Mr Dimock and Mr Cole or any two of them.
Letter to inform Mr Chambers of resolution respecting Abingdon petition. Apprehension that Company would be agreeing to any clause inserted tending to prejudice its interest.
Mr White attended meeting and consented to sell land at Stonehouse Cross for £40.
A drain to be made in Mr White's orchard called Lady Orchard at Stonehouse to drain leakages from the canal.
Advertisement in Gloucester Journal for auction of pieces of land to be disposed of to be held on 24 May at the Golden Cross at Cainscross.

At a Meeting of the Committee of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this 26^th Day of April 1785 at the Swan Inn at Stroud
Present: Joseph Wathen, Ben: Grazebrook, John Hollings, John Allaway, Fream Arundell, Thomas White.
Read the Minutes of the last Committee Meeting.
M^r Jepson Reported that the Rev^d M^r Yate has authorised him to settle for his Land. Ordered that our Clerk do settle the same with M^r Jepson agreeable to the Order of the Committee the 16^th of December last.
Our Clerk Reported that he has made a proposal to M^r White conformable to the Order of the last Committee Meeting, instead of accepting which, M^r White proposed to leave the settlement thereof to the Rev^S M^r Pettat, M^r DImock and M^r Cole or any two of them. Ordered that our Clerk do inform M^r White that we shall abide by the proposal made to him, or reffer the matter to the Commissioners.
Ordered that a Letter be wrote to M^r Chambers informing him of the Resolution of the General Meeting respecting the Abingdon Petition, and that we are apprehensive such Petition form the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation would in effect be agreeing to any Clause which might be inserted in the Bill tending to prejudice our Interest.
The Committee have this Day affixed the Seal of the Company of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation to the answer given to the Bill filed in the Court of Chancery against them by M^r Knight and others.
M^r White attended and have settled the matter in dispute by consenting to sell the piece of Land at Stonehouse Cross as the same is now mounded out for the sum of Forty Pounds. M^r Jepson is desired to prepare the Deed immediately.
Ordered that a Drain by made in M^r White's Orchard call'd Lady Orchard at Stonehouse to Drain the Leakage from the Canal.
Ordered that an Advertisment be inserted in the Glocester Journal for the sale of the several pieces of Land directed to be disposed off by the General Meeting of 12^th October last (excepting the Meadow at Walbridge) and that the same be fixed to be sold by Auction on Tuesday the 24^th Day of May next at the Golden Cross in Cainscross at three O'Clock in the afternoon, provided that Day shall be convenient to M^r Davis. And that each piece be seperately described in such Advertisment.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Six hundred & Fifty two Pounds fourteen Shillings & Seven pence halfpenny.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 28^th Instant at Six O'Clock in the afternoon at the Swan in Stroud.
