At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held by Adjournment at the George Inn at Stroud on Monday the 10^th of October 1785
Present: Joseph Wathen, Nathaniel Winchcombe, John Hollings, Ben^n Grazebrook, John Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he has waited upon M^r Smith in consequence of which Men are now employed to levell the Lime Kilns etc at Walbridge.
Our Clerk Reported that the expence of a Wood Grate at Stonehouse will be Seven Pounds. Defferr'd consideration of the same to a future time.
Ordered that M^r B Grazebrook be desired to purchase a large Tow Boat at Bristol for the purpose of breaking the Ice on the Canal when necessary.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 8^th of November next at five O'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn at Stroud.
