Doubt over conveyance ofBarn Orchard, Ebley, granted and released by Company of Proprietors to Samuel Remmington of Woodchester, 24/25 March 1786. Agreement to convey same by a Deed of Feoffment, 21 September 1790, to Henry Eycott of Stonehouse, clothier, at request of Samuel Remmington.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Canal held this ninth Day of March 1792 at Stroud
Present: Nath^l Winchcombe, Benj^n Grazebrook, John Hollings, Joseph Grazebrook, Henry Burgh.
Whereas by Indentures of Lease and release bearing date respectively the 24^th and 25^th days of March 1786 a certain Orchard called the Barn Orchard in Ebley in the County of Glocester was granted and released by the Company of Proprietors to Sam^l Remmington of Woodchester in the said County Yeoman, but a doubt having arrisen whether the said Premium pass'd by such Conveyance the said Company being a Body Corporate, they have agreed to convey the same by a Deed of Feoffment bearing date the 21^st day of September 1790 to Henry Eycott of Stonehouse in the said County Clothier at the Request of the said Sam^l Remmington and have at this present Meeting affixed the Seal of the said Company of Proprietors to the said Deed of Feoffment.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 11^th of April at 3 o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
