At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this Tenth Day of April 1792 at the George Inn in Stroud.
Nathaniel Winchcombe Esa^r in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read & Confirm'd.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament and Examined & Confirm'd.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of Eleven Hundred forty three Pounds eight Shillings & one penny have been received for Tonnage from the 11^th of Octo^r last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the Payment of Debts, Wages, etc, there remains with a former Ballance in the Treasurers Hands the Sum of Eleven Hundred & eighty Pounds eighteen Shilling and six pence. Ordered that a Dividend of Six Pounds be made on each Share to be paid by the Treasurers on the first day of May next, and that our Clerk do transmit Circular Letters to those Proprietors who are absent from this Meeting to inform them they may draw upon the Treasurers or apply to them for Payment of the same.
Resolved that the Committee of the following Gentlemen The Rev^d M^r Ellis, M^r Baylis, M^r Wood, M^r Scudamore and M^r Freebury be appointed for the Direction and Management of the 500^£ ordered by the General Meeting the 12^th of Octo^r 1790 for the purpose of purchasing Coals, and that our Clerk do attend to their Instructions respecting the same.
The Order made at the last General Meeting respecting the Bye Law for regulating Vessels loading in the Locks is put in Execution.
Resolved that the following Gentlemen be appointed a Committee for the ensuing Year, Viz:
