At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held the 15^th of November 1792
Present: Nathaniel Winchcombe, Benj^n Grazebrook, John Hollings, Jos^h Grazebrook, Rich^d Pettat.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk reported that he has applied to James Wall to finish the Wall at Dudbridge and find there in not a sufficient Quantity of Stone already dug to compleat it. Ordered that the Stone now on the Spot be used, but that no more be brought down this Winter.
Our Clerk produced a Letter address'd to the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Canal by M^r Francis Wills and M^r THo^s Commshire Sollicitors to the Promoters of a Scheme to make a Canal from Glocester through our Canal to Berkeley, in which Letter they offer the Proprietors Collectively or Individually to become Subscribers, but do not state in what Manner or Degree the Undertaking will or may affect the Interest of this Company.
Resolv'd that the said Scheme may be attended with important consequences to the Proprietors of this Navigation that a Committee Meeting be held at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 29^th Ins^t at 2 o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
