Rebecca Ann Noble daughter claimed shares nos.181,182, will of Joseph Beddome.
Clerk to write to Mr Clowes to ask him to undertake survey of canal.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 8^th of April 1794
Present: W^m Battersby, Joseph Harford, Joseph Grazebrook, Benh^n Grazebrook, Sam^l Wathen, Cha^s Freebury, Jn^o Allaway.
John Padmore Noble of the City of Bristol Surgeon, attended and made out his Claim to two Shares N^o 181, 182, in the Stroudwater Navigation, late the Property of Joseph Beddome of the said City of Birstol Merc^d deceased by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Jos^h Beddome bearing Date 12^th May 1791 duly proved in the Perogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury 27^th Feb 1794 whereby it appears that Rebecca Ann Nobel Wife of the said John Padmore Noble and Daughter of the said Jos^h Beddome is Sole Executrix and thereby entituled to the said two Shares and his Claim is hereby admitted.
Resolved that the Clerk do write to M^r Clows informing him of the Resolution of the General Meeting of this Day respecting a View and Estimate of the requisite Improvement in the Navigation and desiring him to make the same and report it at the next Committee.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 6^th of May next at the George Inn in Stroud at 12 o'Clock in the forenoon.
