Mr Clowes asked to report on improvements in the Navigation.
Grass between towing path and the canal, excepting Mr Hogg's meadow, to be let to Thomas Banks for this year for 1 guinea.
Land adjoining Dudbridge Wharf fenced by Mr Thomas Grazebrook to be let to him for 10s per year. He is to be allowed the expense of making the fence.
Thomas Greening to be paid account for building a house on Dudbridge Wharf as soon as the paving is repaired.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 6^th of May 1794
Present: Rev^d Will^m Ellis, Benj^n Grazebrook, Sam^l Wathen, Jos^h Grazebrook, Jn^o Allaway, Sam^l Smith.
The Minutes of the last General & Committee Meetings were read.
M^r Clews having attended reported that he had not yet has time to make the Survey desired.
Ordered that he be requested to do the same and make his report at our next Committee Meeting.
Ordered that the Grass between the Towing path and the Canal excepting M^r Hoggs Meadow be let to Tho^s Banks for this Year for one Guinea provided that he shall clear away the Rushes, etc.
Ordered that the Land adjoining Dudbridge Wharf fenced by M^r Tho^s Grazebrook be let to him at ten Shillings per Year, till the Company shall think proper to take it again into their own hands when M^r Grazebrook shall be allowed the expences of making such fence.
Ordered that Tho^s Greening be paid his account for building a House on Dudbridge Wharf as soon as the paving thereof be repaired.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Wednesday the 21^s of May next at twelve o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
