Brick culvert at Ebley begun.
Lease from Company to Mr Lewis at Ebley being prepared.
Warehouse at Framilode to be set forward as soon as possible.
Mr Powell of Broad Oak to build strong flat bottom boat of the burthen of 12 or 15 tons as a dredge boat to get mud from bottom of canal without drawing the water off.
Mr Hains to enquire for a second clerk in place of Mr Baylis to work and live no higher up canal than Stonehouse to attend to the barge masters and other duties and to inform Mr Sam Baylis, present second clerk.
Ice boat to be taken to Broad Oak to be graved.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 11^th of Sep^t 1794 in pursuance of 7 days notice thereof given by our Clerk, there not having been assembled a sufficient Number of Members to constitute a Committee on the 29 of August last, to which day a Meeting of a Committee was adjourn'd by a Committee duly assembled the 29^th of July last past

Agreed with Tho^s Greening to make a Brick Culvert at Ebley who has begun the same at 5^s/6^d per Yard.
A Lease from the Company to M^r Jn^o Lewis at Ebley being proposed agreeable to the directions of the General Meeting of 11^th of Octo^r 1791, Ordered that the Seal of the Company be affix'd to the same.
Ordered that the Warehouse at Framiload be set forward as fast as possible.
Ordered that our Clerk do apply to M^r Powell of Broad Oak to build a strong flatt bottom Boat of the Burthen f 12 or 15 Tons for the purpose of a Dredger Boat to be employ'd in future for getting the Mud from the bottom of the Canal without drawing the Water off for that purpose.
It being the Opinion of this Committee that a Second Clerk of the Company should be a working man leiving near the Line of the Canal and not higher up the Canal than Stonehouse, in order that such Clerk may be constantly at hand for the purpose of attending to Barge Masters, and for the other Objects of his Duty, It is therefore ordered that M^r Hains do make enquiry for a Person fitt for the s^d Office of second Clerk in respect of the above and other particulars, and that he do give information of the above order to M^r Sam^l Baylis our present second Clerk.
Ordered that the Ice Boat be taken to Broad Oak to be graved as soon as possible.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the thirteenth of Octo^r next at 12 o Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
