Special Meeting of Committee. Bill pending in House of Commons which may affect interests of Company on petition of Company of Proprietors of Thames & Severn Canal Navigation. Letter from Chairman to Mr White, one of Clerks of House of Commons, requesting to transmit to our Clerk a copy of the Heads of such Bill.
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 29^th of Dec^r 1795
Present: Josiah Isles Wathen, Benj^n Grazebrook, Rev^d W^m Ellis, Jos^h Grazebrook, Sam^l Wathen.
Finding that a Bill has been brought into the House of Commons and is now pending there upon the Petition of the Company of Proprietors of the Thames & Severn Canal Navigation, which may as it is apprehended affect the Interests of our Company, Resolved that a Letter be written by the Chairman of this Committee to M^r White, one of the Clerks of the House of Commons requesting him to transmit to our Clerk a Copy of the Heads of such Bill, and a Letter to that effect is accordingly written and forwarded per Post.
