At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on Board the Companys Barge on Thursday the 31^th of May 1798
Present: Rev^d Will^m Ellis, Nath^l Wathen, Rev^d Jos^h Colborne, Rowles Scudamore, Benj^n Grazebrooke, Ew^d Wood, Sam^l Wathen, Nath^l Jones.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the order of the last Meeting respecting the Boat House and the Shed to be erected at Tho^s Lewis House.
Ordered that the Court Orchard & Bristol Road Lock Gates be immediatly planked, and that all repairs necessary to the other Lock Gates on the Navigation be forthwith proceeded with.
As the Navigation on the Canal must of necessity be impeded for a fortnight during the reparation of the Court Orchard Lock, Ordered that an Advertizement be inserted in the Glocester Journal giving notice thereof. Ajourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 26^th of June next a 5 o'Clock in the afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
