At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 7^th of Aug^s 1798
Present: Rev^d W^m Ellis, Joseph Grazebrooke, Sam^l Wathen, Rowley Scudamore, Nath^l Wathen, Ew^d Wood, Benj^n Grazebrook, Nath^l Jones.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the order respecting the Boat House and the Shed at Tho^s Lewis House.
Our Clerk reported that the different repairs on the Canal are in a State of forwardness.
Ordered that the Ballance due to W^m Bird for the Lighter be forthwith paid.
An application having been made by M^r Jn^o Browne of Cam to recover the Sum of 6^£..19^s..5^d being the amount of 1^pd..0..23^lb of Sugar and 8^lb of Tobacco stolen from the Companys Warehouse at Framiload about the 12^th of Octo^r 1796, Ordered that the same be paid.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 18^th of Sep^r next at 3 o'Clock in the afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
