Letter from Mr Cambridge re repair of weir at Whitminster Mill. Old stone weir taken away by Mr Cambridge's steward. Company to take useless weir up, make good the bank and erect new weir. Mr Cambridge to find materials and exonerate Company from future repairs.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Thursday the 29^th of July 1802
Present: Rev^d W^m Ellis, Jn^o Allaway, Rev^d J Colborne, Jos^h Grazebrooke, Benj^n Grazebrooke, Nath^l Wathen.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders unexecuted of the 3^rd of June last.
Read a Letter from M^r Cambridge respecting the repair of the Wear at Whitminster Mill. Ordered that a Letter be written in reply informing M^r Cambridge that the present Wear being entirely useless to the Company they will readily take it up and make good the Bank, and as the Olde Stone Wear was taken away by M^r Cambridges Steward the Company will erect one of the same dimentions provided M^r Cambridge will find the necessary materials and exonerate the Company form all repairs in future.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 2^nd of Sep^r next at 5 o'Clock in the afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
