At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Friday the 22^nd of April 1803
Present: Sam^l Wathen, Jn^o Allaway, Rev^d Will^m Ellis, Nathaniel Jones, Rev^d Jos^h Colborne, Jos^h Grazebrooke, Rev^d Jos^h Jones, Will^m Sevill, Benj^n Grazebrooke.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders unexecuted of the 3^rd of June last.
The Committee having been directed by the General Meeting to take such measures to obtain a regular supply of Newport Coals, as they shall find expedient, our Clerk is hereby Ordered with the advice and under the direction of three members of the Committee to contract for the building of a proper Vessell of the burden of 60 Tons.
The Half Yearly Meeting having empowered the Committee to sell to the Commissioners of the turnpike road leading from Cainscross to Alkerton a sufficient quantity of Land above the Bridge at Chippenhams Platt to build a Turnpike House, It is hereby agreed to spare them a piece of Land not exceeding Six Perches at the price of Five Guineas.
The Committee being empowered by the Half Yearly Meeting to sell M^r Tho^s Grazebrook a piece of land (being part of the Wharf at Dudbridge), It is hereby agreed to spare him a piece 50 Feet long and 7 feet wide at the price of Two Guineas.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Wednesday the 8^th of June next at 8 o'Clock in the Morning precisely, on board the Companys Barge at Walbridge.
