Charles Hawkins Fisher claimed shares nos.39,75,174, will of Charles Fisher.
Damage of £1 10s to George Bailey for overflowing of canal.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16th day of May 1849
Present: M^r Hen^y Sikes, M^r Cha^s Hooper Chairman, Fred^k Eycott, Cha^s H Fisher, Jn^o H Warman, Tho^s C Croome, G H A Beard.
M^r Charles Hawkins Fisher of Stroud in the County of Glocester Solicitor the sole acting Executor of Charles Fisher late of Stroud Gentleman deceased attended and made out his claim as such acting Executor to Three Shares N^os 39, 174 & 75 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Charles Fisher in the Books of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Charles Fisher bearing date the 20th day of July 1848 whereby he appointed the said Charles Hawkins Fisher together with Paul Hawkins Fisher, Joseph Timbroll Fisher and Frederick Colborne Fisher Executors of his said Will which was duly proved by the said Charles Hawkins Fisher alone in the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury on the 9th day of April 1849 power being reserved to the other Executors to prove and also producing the original Tickets and Titles to the said several Shares And the claim of the said Charles Hawkins Fisher is admitted accordingly.
Ordered that the Clerk be authorised in the Intervals between the Monthly Meetings to open letters addressed to the Committee in the presence of any Member of the Committee.
Ordered that M^r Hawker be authorised to absent himself from the Office during the annual Stoppage of the Navigation.
Ordered that the Sum of One pound ten shillings be allowed to George Bailey of Eastington for damage occasioned by the overflowing of the Canal on the 3rd Ins^t,
Ordered that the following Bill and Expenses by paid:
