At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 12th day of January 1853
Present: M^r Tho^s C Croome, M^r G H A Beard Chairman, Jn^o H Warman, Cha^s H Fisher, Hen^y Harris, Fred^k Eycott, Will^m Fryer, Cha^s Hooper.
The Report of the Interview between M^r Richards and M^r Croome was taken into consideration and it was the unanimous opinion of this Committee that it is the most expedient course for this Company to obtain a Lease of the Tolls on the Thames & Severn Canal with respect of Coals, Goods and Merchandise carried into the Thames & Severn Canal and landed between Wallbridge and Brimscombe and that M^r Coombe be authorised to communicated with M^r Richards with a view to effecting such an arrangement.
