Company shares 43,44,175 claimed by Mary Holbrow, shares 137,186 by Martha Stanton, estate of John Holbrow.
John Battershall of the iron foundry is not to use canal towing path between his premises and the gas works.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 9th day of February 1853
Present: M^r Ln H Warman, M^r Rich^d Martin Chairman, Hen^y Harris, Will^m Fryer, G H A Beard, C H Fisher, Fred^k Eycott.
M^r Cha^s Stanton of Upfield near Stroud attended on behalf of himself and Martha Stanton his Wife and Mary Holbrow the Administrators of the late John Holbrow of the City of Glocester deceased and made out their Claims to five Shares N^os 43, 44. 175, 137 & 186 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said John Holbrow in the books of the Company of Proprietors of the said Navigation by producing the letters of Administration to the said John Holbrow bearing date the 3rd day of April 1849 granted by the Prerogative Court of Canterbury and also by producing the Tickets of Titles to the said Shares and a memorandum bearing date the 2nd day of December 1852 signed by the said Charles Stanton and Martha his wife and Mary Holbrow whereby the said parties have agreed to divide the said shares between them in the manner following that is to say N^os 43, 44 & 175 to become vested in Mary Holbrow and N^os 137 and 186 to become vested in the said Martha Stanton and the said Claims were admitted accordingly.
Resolved that M^r Croome be requested to give notice to Jn^o Battershall of the Iron Foundry not to use the Canal towing path between his premises and the Gas Works as he has lately done whereby the path has be injured.
