Summary

Mr Knee asked permission to build a boat at Wallbridge Wharf. Granted on condition that he finish within two months.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 25^th day of April 1855
Present: M^r G H A Beard Chairman, M^r C Hawker, H Harris, J H Warman, C Hooper, F Eycott, T C Croome, R^d Martin.
The various Accounts Books and Vouchers signed by M^r Cooper the Auditor & certified to be correct were produced and examined.
The Treasurer's Book was produced examined & signed.
M^r Knee attended & asked permission to build a Boat on the Wharf at Wallbridge which was granted him on condition that the Boat shall be finished within two months & efficient arrangements made by him to prevent inconvenience to anybody.
M^r Knee also asked for a drawback of 4^d per ton on all Stone brought into the Canal & landed between Dudbridge & the terminus of the Canal. Ordered that such drawback be allowed provided he carries not less than 1000 Tons in each year in which the drawback is claimed.
